In Madrid he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts of Fernando Sain, visit
the Prado Museum and attend informal meetings and literary arts. Shortly Bilbao
is set after completing his training at the School of Arts and Crafts in the
city and in the studio of Federico Saenz. In 1930 travels in Paris, where
contact Impressionist art, which exert certain influence on his later work.
Gain a reputation as a portraitist
Párraga was an excellent
draftsman, and got the third prize at the National Exhibition of Fine Arts in
Madrid. His portraits, clearly realistic, show considerable interest in
capturing the soul of the character, in examples such as Portrait of Don Resurrection
Mary Azkue made in 1950.
There is a street in honor of him
in Torrelavega.
