Carlos Pondal Street

In 1923 the military fired the mayor José Pedraja Gonzalez and his councilors. the new mayor Carlos Pondal, a builder from Avilés, accepted the position. this was the first of the two clauses pondal had to be mayor.

At the meeting of 7 February Carlos Pondal was reappointed as mayor, only with te support of councils, for two years.

This street is named by the mayor Jesús Collado Soto on the 3 of February, 1960
