Nilo Merino Campos street



Nilo Merino Campos was born in Torrelavega on August 11, 1937. He was a lawyer from the year 63. Also president of the Coral Company, ex-executive of the SAB Cantabria and member of the group Quercus. He was a councilman of the last corporation previous to the democratic stage. He graduated in the University of Valladolid. On March 20, 1963, he started working as a lawyer, having been assistant of the out-standing lawyer and dean of the college of Santander, Julio Arce Alonso. Later, he opened an office in Torrelavega, where he worked for 45 years. The pleaded veteran exercised practically all the branches of the law, in a brilliant and effective way, having gained the respect and the consideration from judges and co-workers. Between 1978 and 1983, he be came the place of fourth deputy of the meeting of government of the “Ilustre Colegio de Abogados” of Cantabria. Also he was a foundind teacher of the school of Law Practice of Cantabria and teacher of numerous young lawyers, some of them, already out-standing professionals. The PSOE proposed him the concession of the golden medal of the city. “The concession of the Golden Medal posthumously, is a fain recognition to his career” Pedro Aguirre indicated. They gave to him the medan on February 26, 2009.
